    Need new dad bag

I am in need of a new dad bag. I currently have what I believe is a 25L REI that's no lineger made but that has worked well just getting beat up. I keep first aid, lighters, lights, Leatherman, wipes, etc in there when we are on outings with the kids. Kind of a real-world grab-and-go. No guns or other weapons.

I'm considering the Vertx EDC Ready Pack. Anyone have or use one? I don't really care about the carry aspect but wouldn't mind having it in some situations.

FWIW, Woot has a pretty decent discount on North Face backpacks today under their sporting goods section.

(NB: Woot's primary/headline sales are a 24-hour-only thing - the current sale will expire at midnight tonight... if you need more time to evaluate, it might not be your best option).

Another front runner, the Tom Binh Synapse 19. That brand appears to be one of the top suburban middle class brands so the blend-in will be higher than with the Vertx. The last thing I want with the Vertx is to be at Disney with the kids and have some gun dork "make" me and want to engage in banter.

I figured it wasn't what you were looking for...just thought it would be good for a laugh. I've got two friends, both former Military like me, that I've turned on to that site for their pending kids. Both wives are PISSED at me...

They do have a backpack. And a tactical wipes pouch.

Our first diaper bag was (still is) a range bag. Showed it to the wife and she went for it... not all women are opposed to the idea.

Size wise the Mystery Ranch Streetfighter, despite the name being dumb as fuck, might work.

I really love the Vertx Gamut and Gamut plus bags though. You could score one in grey or one of their other more benign colors and toss a patch over the logo.
