The path of least resistance will seldom get you where you need to be.
Thomas Yoxall, of Arizona, gave his account of the dramatic Jan. 12 encounter between the now-dead suspect and the state trooper. Yoxall had not been previously identified.

Apparently the Good Samaritan in this case is a former felon (non violent /theft) who had his gun rights restored.
Not all felonies are serious (some are down right stupid). I'm glad he got his life shit together and happened to be there at that time.
Semper Gumby, Always Flexible
Sounds like he may do a bit of training himself.
"It’s who I am," he said. "I can't arbitrarily stand by and watch a tragedy like that unfold without doing what I can to intervene and stop it."
Yoxall said he has no military or law-enforcement experience but practices gun-safety techniques several times a year.
"I feel that it’s a right and a privilege to be a private gun owner, and with that right and privilege comes a great responsibility," he said.
Nice resemblance. Also goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover.
Ultimately if I need a backup and that backup saves the day, I don't care if he's Charlie Manson.
What you do right before you know you're going to be in a use of force incident, often determines the outcome of that use of force.
