If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.
Wow that's steep. If Colt can bring their 6 shot snub in at $600 and have it be functional they're going to really squeeze them.

My standard response when I see a Kimber at a gun counter/online gun store:
"Hmm, I know their rep isn't great, but that's pretty sexy, maybe worth the gamble for a fun gun..."

"HAH!"

It's probably not terribly out of line, based on features, in comparison to new Magnum Smiths/Rugers in my area. I'm just not willing to be a beta tester at that price point without a whole lot of positive feedback from trusted sources.
I really want it to be a good, dependable gun. But I just can't roll the dice at this point.

What am I seeing wrong??? That thing is big and heavy enough to equal a Commander-size, with less burrets.
Guess I'll just keep dealing with small J frames, thank you.

Beware of my temper, and the dog that I've found...
Stephanie, I was at a local FFL today whose regular price for the stainless model is $779. His "allotment," (according to the owner, that is based on how much he bought from Kimber last year) was three - all of which he sold very quickly. He added he hasn't had any feedback to date. Like many newer FFL'S, his customer base is younger and as a result, mostly semi-auto buyers rather than wheel guns.
