I have a several Kelty backpacks, and a batch for the kiddos as school bags. Collectively, they are okay. They're commercial grade and comparable to most of the mass-produced sporting goods store types. Their mil/tactical line is a little better than that. Some models have some neat features that have worked well with the way I needed to pack them. I've had good light to medium service from some Redtails. A Bueller model broke its zipper in its second or third outing. For their price point and availability, they're a viable option and service at Kelty is pretty good.
I'd like the current build of the Peregrine 29 in gray. I have a use for that.
