Thread: EDC Leather Key Fob Crowdfund Campaign

  1. #21
Some quick pictures I took this morning. Excuse the quality. I used what hardware I had on hand to get the point across. There are a couple of post sizes that will come with the production model, allowing for more keys to be stacked.

    My everyday keys

The keys in the new fob. I attached the car key to the hanger. It will fit inside, but I don't like the thick plastic.

Popped the plastic off my spare car key and punched a hole in it. All keys in the leather fob now.

Nice and thin and easy on the pockets

So, if you have looked at the campaign, you will see this is to be a streamlined alternative to some of the tech type fobs that can hold a ton of toys. While this could as well, it is not the original intention. It won't work for everyone. With the largest post, it could hold the equivalent of 5-6 keys on each side.

Pretty cool. Thanks for the photos.

Like the concept yet not sure it'll work for my assortment of keychain items. Will keep thinking.

Yeah, it is more of a key holder. That said, besides the titanium hanger, I am working on a titanium bottle opener and a small key shaped USB. I don't want to get to crazy though and turn it into something it wasn't meant to be.

BestLeather.org just released this positive review of the Legacy Key Fob. Please check it out when you get a chance and get in on a fob perk if you think you or someone you know might like one. Thanks, Jim

Would it be possible to get a hanger tab on each end of the holder? That would allow suspension (from the belt) from one end, and attachment of a big fat round electronic car key control at the other end.

Sure, I could throw an extra hanger tab in for that.

Thanks! When I update contributors at the end of the campaign, just remind me on the extra hanger.

Just wanted to post a quick update on the Legacy Fob. Got the new clicker dies in today and have been playing with some scrap to get the "feel" for them. Will be starting production soon. Thanks to all the P-F members who helped out on this campaign. If you get a chance, shoot me over your Monogram info if you haven't already.
