I decided to start a separate thread for discussion on these scopes so I don't clog up another thread.

I purchased this scope from CS Tactical at a good price a couple months ago. It's mounted on a Tikka T3X Compact Lite .308. I used aluminum Vortex 34 mm rings. With a couple of hundred 150 grain PMC and 155 grain AMAX handloads through the rifle, the scope has performed very well. I'm dialing 3.4 mils of elevation at 545 yards, the farthest I've shot. The reticle illumination did go down early. Replacing the factory 2032 battery seems to have been the fix. Although it's too early for me to pass final judgment, I'm highly pleased. With best regards from the Big Empty, ELN.

I would also appreciate the feedback.
Update on my FFP mil/mil:
I've fired a couple hundred additional rounds since my last post. The scope is mounted on a Tikka T3X Compact Lite in 308 with a 20 MOA rail. My handload is a Hornady 155 AMAX over 43.0 grains of H4895. This yields approximately 2675 fps. I've had no problems with the scope. The .1 milrad clicks are more closely spaced and not as distinct as on my high-dollar precision rifle scopes. At this price, I wouldn't expect them to be. I haven't done any box testing but, tracking seems good. I can dial 8.2 mils to get on the 900 yard plate. I run out of elevation travel at about 9.5 mils - just short of the 9.9 mils needed to get me on steel at 1000. After replacing the factory battery, the illumination has been reliable.
As an aside, I've been playing with the Strelok Pro ballistic app. It's the best I've used so far and includes this scope's reticle.
Conclusion: This is an excellent scope for the light, compact "general purpose" bolt rifle in open country. From the Big Empty, ELN.

Thanks for posting this. I just noticed the other day that Burris was coming out with a 1-8. I'm still trying to come up with the "right" answer for my 7.62 AR. Here in the Bay Area where ranges are 100 yards and any realistic real world use would be inside that range I'm getting by with an Aimpoint just fine, Still the wanabe inside of me wants to be able to pick off goblins at 800 yards. What range were you shooting at?
I consider my rifle to be a "600 yard gun". That said, I've made hits on some hero-size steel at 1000. Of course, I'd like greater magnification and a different reticle at 1000 and beyond. With a 20 MOA base, you should be able to dial all the elevation you need at 800. The Burris' strengths are its versatility, quality, and value. I'm happy with mine. From the Big Empty, ELN.
