Officer suing mayor for remarks on Facebook

    Source article

A Wapato police officer is suing the city over comments its mayor posted on social media after an officer-involved fatal shooting.
(Mayor) Guzman called Campos (the officer) a murderer in a Facebook post and said the officer “deserves to die in prison.”

    Details on the shooting

A Wapato police officer was justified in fatally shooting a
domestic-violence suspect in July, Yakima County’s top prosecutor said in a ruling issued Thursday.

That mayor has the typing skill of a brain damaged frying pan. It's really amazing what kind of inbred tards get into city government positions.

He should sue for more money. 1.5 million isn't enough. Too many small towns have mayors like this. The police dept has hiring standards, education and training requirements but the mayor has no education or training is too often a local who can't get a job and is now telling the professionals how to do their job.

Kittening Awesome! This needs to happen far, Far, FAR more often. Too frequently in the aftermath of a legally, ethically, and morally justified OIS the politicians feel the need to pander to the SJWs and their mobs with pitchforks and torches. They do not this by attacking the officer, deputy, trooper, etc without a single consideration about the future of the copper.

$1.5million is not anywhere near enough but it is a start.

I wish the officer was suing him in federal court for a civil rights violation. The mayor wants the officer in prison before a trial. Let the mayor know how it feels to be a police officer and have his words and actions criticized
