Waxing Nostalgic: Share Some Images...Just Because...

How often do you get to do this? A friend who worked at the Miami Zoo invited us to spend a day playing with a couple of young tigers (while mama watched with a critical eye from an adjacent cage).

My son and his Scoutmaster 4 years ago when my son came home from college to receive his Eagle Scout Award.

FYI. The Scoutmaster is still leading the Troop. On Nov. 25 1944 he was on the USS Essex in the Philippine Sea when the carrier was hit by a Kamikaze. He will be 91 in less than 1 month and still going strong.

blues - Thanks for sharing the vintage climbing and mountaineering shots. A couple of my climbing mentors came of age in the same era.

An easy 5.4 traverse in the summer becomes a fun winter problem.

Just a Hairy Special Snowflake supply clerk with no field experience, shooting an Asymetric carbine as a Try Hard. Snarky and easily butt hurt. Favorite animal is the Cape Buffalo....likely indicative of a personality disorder.

Old strip mine I grew up dirt bike riding in. Place had a lake where more than a few bodies were lost and found in. Good times.

Man, a door ding at that place would be a felony reckless conduct.

Here's the "town". Everything you needed; one school, one church, one stop-n-rob, one traffic light (blinking yellow only), and one beer joint (far enough away to keep respectability, still close enough to walk)
