This could be a great Joe or Josie Homeowner home defense sixgun if Colt doesn't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory like Smith seems to do with the M&P series. Add a 3" barreled version and it could be perfect for that role. If Colt doesn't screw it up, it will be like printing money. If the street price is reasonable, I see one in my future. Very curious about pricing.

I would buy one with an alloy frame.
Any idea if it uses the exact lockwork of the originals? Or has it been re-designed for . . . a little more lifespan on the timing thing?
