First picture I've seen of the 44 Special GP 100

Saw this on Jeff Quinn's page on Facebook.
"New Ruger GP100 chambered for the 44 Special cartridge. Three inch barrel, five-shot cylinder, excellent grip. ~ jeff quinn"

It looks like they went with a unfluted cylinder, adjustable rear sight and maybe a Meprolight front sight? It also looks like it has the no finger groove Hogues on it.

    Corn, lots of it.
Doesn't that look like an Alaskan frame?

Either way I have zero practical use for one which will probably rocket it to the top of my "do want" list.

The front sight looks like the large fiber optic FS found on the the Match Champion.

Ed Head just posted on the BookFace that his article about this and 8shot Redhawk will be out in a month or so. Pics look cool.

And it looks like an 8 shot snubby...

That looks like it has great potential as an all around trail gun.

In the warmer months have the 1st shot a #4 snakeshot load, followed by 4 wide meplat hard cast slugs, stuff it in a compact belt holster, or HPG Kit Bag, and call it good!

From the comments on Quinn's FB they're saying a MSRP of $829 although some folks are saying their dealers can unusually come in around $200 under that.

I do not need one, I do not need one, I do not need one.........I am working hard at not buying one.
Just a Hairy Special Snowflake supply clerk with no field experience, shooting an Asymetric carbine as a Try Hard. Snarky and easily butt hurt. Favorite animal is the Cape Buffalo....likely indicative of a personality disorder.
