I went to Tulane, which is right across the street from Loyola. Loyola and Tulane both are havens of liberalism and special snowflakes. It does not surprise me at all that this happened, or that the professor reacted the way they did. I never open carried while I was there, even though I could have done so.
Loyola night school has always been fairly popular with cops, including their law school. I do know that Loyola offers substantial discounts to local part-timers, as opposed to the full time, rich kid, out of state students that populate the dorms.
