I remember Dennis from my THR days. Interesting. I would buy a 3" fixed GP .44 for sure, for no other reason whatsoever than: want; 'Murica.

Well that would save me from having to buy a S&W 69 with the stupid hold in the side. Hopefully they put Novaks on it like the Match Champion and Wiley Clapp models.
This forum is hell on the wallet. A 3" .44 of reasonable weight and no lock. Can't wait to examine one in person.

Interesting, but I'll let others beta-test. I've learned my lesson on being the first kid on the block to buy any new offering from Ruger.
I'm interested in how it turns out. Back in the day, I'm pretty sure it was Pachmayr who chopped a Charter .44 to near J-frame size. Of course I don't want a Charter Arms anything, but a reliable, compact .44 has been on my wish list ever since.
