    Yup.

This was a four inch 66-1 that was given to me, by the son of a deceased older-than-me retiree who was partial to engraving his carry guns. Not exactly my cup of tea, but the son said do what I want to with it... and it occurred to me that replacing the four inch barrel with a two inch M-64 barrel would create an ideal "car gun". And it has been so. Like DB stated, shooting full-patch .357s in an eleven ounce J frame is simple foolishness; it can downright HURT your hands/wrists. But this bad boy, at 32 ounces and a full length rubber stock, is doable. Quite ferocious, indeed, and absolutely NO consistent punching out the empties... but after six full "magnums" at car ranges, SOMEBODY is either getting either hit or set on fire.

LGS said they couldn't find one from their distributors. They will let me know if they can find one in the future.

Learned something new...would have been afraid to shoot .357 through the .38 barrel due to heat treating / other concerns. Neat. Oh, and despite my initial concerns about sticky holster syndrome with that kydex J-frame holster you have (auto correct on the site won't let me type "a" and "holster" without a space) I just bought a replica of your pocket backbone. Too neat to ignore.

Well, it could indeed be trouble if one did a lot of "magnum" shooting. But while survivable on the back side, it sure ain't fun with full-patch .357s... so I shot just enough to ensure it worked, cleaned it, and haven't fired it since. I did remove the rear sight; simply not needed, and makes the revolver a bit less snaggy.

Regarding the AHolster, mine has not repeated the issue (I still check it often), and I've been using it every day I leave the house. I hope yours is good. At home, I'm still carrying the 360PD in an old single-side-leather RKBA, because the GI trousers I wear here have a much more shallow pocket.
