Thread: A solution for illogical 10 rd mag limits

  1. #101
CADOJ has now clarified (somewhat) what they consider permanent: epoxy and rivet.

There are Glock mag blocks but the ones I've seen epoxy to the follower, not the baseplate. I don't know if those would be deemed worthy with a riveted baseplate or if we need to wait for "magpul-style" floorplate-connected blocks. Either way it seems like blocking G19 mags is a viable alternative to factory 10-rounders.

Notice the glaring lack of what "permanent alteration" specifically means to the CA DOJ.

Easiest solution....leave California. The state continues to think it is the shining star on the west coast. It's been a left/socialist dump since the early 90s. Legitimate US citizens are leaving in droves because the asylum is now being run by the inmates. It truly is an embarrassment to our country.

Move to AZ or Texas, buy/carry what you want and make sure those escaping California don't bring their moronic voting tendencies with them.

You have plenty of problems with your own residents in Texas to preach to members on this forum who happen to reside in California.

I think if it is just as easy as moving most would. However careers, friends and family will interfere with that . Giving the move advice happens all the times in these threads and it's not very productive.

I love Texas , and I can't imagine a more awesome place or state. If Texas went the way of California, I would do all I could to get out. That said, talking about moving is a thread for general discussion , not a topic to derail a helpful thread.

    Just my 2 cents.

I am in NY and no longer carry a G19. I went to a G26 and then ultimately to a G33 with a +1 pearce. I am a Glock armorer but took the course many years ago. The 2183 as you all know have been troublesome with JHP. I changed all my G19 mags to 9mm3 follower. They have been reliable with FMJ but not JHP. I had not heard of G26 recommending only put 9 in the mag? Is that the standard now? My G26 has been 100% with HST's and 10 rounds. My G33 has been 100% with Underwood 125 gr gold dots and 10 rounds witht he +1 and 10% over Wolf spring. So what is the recommendation for the G26?

Load OEM G26 mags with 10, if using OEM extension 12, under a loaded chamber.

I've always loaded 10 in my G26 mags and never had an issue.

The G26 mags work perfectly fine with 10 rds in the mag.

Is there a real consensus on G26 with OEM +2 extension? I own 2, and when I load 11 in everything seems normal. When I load 12 in the mag rattles and makes noise, enough that you can hear me coming with a mag in my jeans pocket. It's repeatable with two mags and HST 147 and GD 124+P.

I asked about ETS mags before but I might have gotten lost in the noise. Has anyone tried the 10-round ETS mags for Glock 19 and 17 pistols? I guess their standard capacity stuff is supposed to be good but I don't know personally.
