Looking due East from my house...
Looking Northeast from my house...
Sundance ski resort is on the other side of that snow covered peak. I can typically get from my house to the lift ticket booth in about 20 minutes during the ski season.
Snowbird resort is just a little further north, about a 45 minute drive. As of last weekend they still had about a 170" base and are going to stay open for skiing through the 4th of July.
Photos from several recent hikes around the Salt Lake Valley:
As a Floridian, it physically pains me to see all these beautiful landscapes of valleys, waterfalls and mountains topped with snow. All these pictures are amazing.
EDIT TO ADD: I am not posting photos of hurricane damage, etc., because I con't feel this is the place, and most of them would have to be heavily edited to ensure the removal of things like street addresses, etc.
Also, I apologize in advance for the dreaded cell-phone orientation issues.
We had a day off and drove around... probably further then they wanted us to, but they didn't specify a travel radius...
...So we headed up to Fort Pierce...
The blonde at the left of the pic was the impetus behind the trip, as her son is on the Teams.
The WWII exhibit was closed, but they've added a lot since I was there in 2012. Don't recall seeing the pump action grenade launcher...
(Crappy cell phone pic, sorry.)
We also paid a visit to the School of Assassins...

We also spent a day or two in Miami Beach. A tough job, but someone's gotta do it.
A service I don't recall seeing anywhere else:
The Brits also paid a visit:
HMS Ocean, LH12, making port after disaster relief missions in the Bahamas.

On a more somber note, we also visited Miami Beach's Holocaust Memorial:
The walls are etched with the names of all victims of the Holocaust that have been submitted to the memorial.
