Not my picture, but we've had 3" of rain in 24 hours.
For those who know the Mt Washington Valley, specifically rt 16, this is the gift shop that is built on/in the covered bridge. Believe it is the town of Glen, but could be Bartlett.
    Yikes.

Did they help you carry then to the car?

I wonder if they didn't really know what they had/bought and got taken when they bought them.
Adding nothing to the conversation since 2015....

That's what I call it. The state took two piers, State Pier and the Vermont Central Railroad Pier and filled in the space between them to make a heavy-lift pier. They closed the pier to commercial traffic to support a wind-turbine project . They kicked out a number of businesses that used the old piers. The cost of the job went from $95 million to north of $300 million. The project manager recommended their own companies for a lot of the work. The state ports commission had some nepotistic hires. Meanwhile, Our Esteemed Governor (who does not give a shit about anything that happens outside of Hartford and Fairfield counties) kept cheerleading the project and putting out press releases that claim everything is fine, as though he was channeling Kevin Bacon in Animal House, while he keeps paying more and more subsidies to the energy companies so his pet project doesn't crumble into dust.

The city had freight coming in, as there are no bridges between the pier and the sea. Cruise ships occasionally paid visits. Now there is nothing but the wind turbine parts and a crane ship that comes in from time to time to take the parts out to sea and erect them.

    So, yes. Corruption Pier.
