    ONLY if the mainspring has been clipped multiple coils. Lower hammer mass is a major issue with Colt actions; it's a practically non-existent issue with S&W's.

    I heard for somewhere at some point that removing the single action notch helps make the trigger pull smoother. Though for all I know that's BS

    If it is done very very right, it can make a small improvement of value to an Expert shooter.
    Just not anything I would bother with on a hideout gun.

    It may be the Colt issue I was remembering. It has never been an issue on my S&Ws, but I don't use reduced power mainsprings.

    I may be late to the game in this thread, but Clark did a great trigger job on my model 66 and added a green fiber front. Fair price, good communication, and relatively quick turnaround time.

    Joe does very nice work on wheelguns. If you have a lever action rifle, he can also turn it into something special.
