If we are talking about Costa, he indeed does have LE experience in the Coast Guard, where he participated in things like boarding parties and drug interdiction operations.
I agree that 1000 rounds a day seems excessive. At a certain point most people would get fatigued or loose concentration.
How many rounds a day do they fire at the Rogers School?
When I took a Magpul Dynamics carbine class Which was run by Chris Costa and Mike Lamb, it was a two day course and we fired about 750 rounds each day. I found Costa to be a great instructor who was genuinely interested in the students' progress.
