I had no idea this lady existed until she popped up in my Spotify daily mix and I'm hooked.

@BehindBlueI's Thanks for Boy Named Banjo. Good stuff. New to me.

Here's a little Bonnie. I dig the mood.

They were also a Spotify discovery. It's a shame we have so many FM stations and they all play the same stuff. NPR, Youtube/vimeo and Spotify have lead to most of my "new bands" discoveries.

Never a huge fan of The Opossum, but he had a hell of a voice.

Like several of them folks interviewed in the Ken Burns* series Country Music said, he and Tammy Wynette both lived country music daily...

*Did this series make up for the hack job he did in his Viet Nam series? Not really.

Maybe the best country song ever. Supposedly he was reluctant to record it and told the producer "Nobody's gonna buy that morbid son of a bitch" [emoji41] Used to hear it all the time with my dad growing up, but was a teenager before I realized that the dude was dead because I'm stupid.

Had to post this after mentioning it in the other thread. If you can listen to the end without getting misty eyed then you're a frickin robot.
