So I've got to say Sturgill Simpson has taken a real turn in his genre. He was originally quite old school country (see: Long White Line / Railroad of Sin) and I was a fan. He's done some experimental stuff before (See: Turtles All The Way Down) but after his Japan trip (perhaps in more than one meaning?) this was the result. It's the sort of thing that I probably shouldn't listen to in the Camaro unless I want to meet some of our friendly Troopers.



This is apparently an animated movie on NetFlix as well. Not really my thing, but I might check it out anyway. After watching this a few times I realized that the missiles are humans. They are just guys in big, apparently explosive, dunce caps flying through the air because reasons.

I dig this. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the madmax Samurai aesthetic, but I like the music too. Kind of reminds me of certain slices of the Black Keys.
