For everybody who likes the music of Vangelis: I assume, he does not want us to grieve long but to smile when we think back about him and the great music he gave us. Jon Anderson told a story in 2014 about how he became friends with Vangelis:

Their song "I'll find my way home" was my favorite childhood song.

REST IN PEACE MASTER VANGELIS, THANKS FOR ALL THE MUSICAL GIFT YOU LEFT US!
Thanks to you, when my father introduce me to your music in a little town in Mexico I got myself transported to another universe. It was awesome not just see and read about the universe, but to actually hear it.
Definitely, if the forces that rules the cosmos have a sound, they would sound like you just described in all your work.
Thank you because now, in my late twenty's I still believe that universe can be understood while keeping the magic behind the process.
This is music for the experience of being alive, we must keep it as an artist gift!

Biting Elbows (Russian industrial band best known here in the west for their song "Bad Motherfucker" that became the blueprint for that first-person-shooter movie "Hardcore Henry") is apparently a fan of Heinlein and 80s music. Pretty solid track here, albeit with some potentially disturbing visuals.

And just for grins, the last song from Sturgill Simpson's "Sound & Fury" album. Had a buddy of mine describe this as "Dirty greasy truck stop rock" as a term of endearment, and I can't argue.

I found myself humming/singing a few bars from Jim Croce's classic "Operator" today while I was doing some chores. My boy was helping me out, and asked what the song was. I figured, hell, time to introduce him to Croce. But it occurred to me that so much of that song is predicated on understanding how our telecommunications worked 50 years ago, something that's so far outside his understanding. Goddamn that made me feel old.
