"There is magic in misery. You need to constantly fail. Always bite off more than you can chew, put yourself in situations where you don't succeed then really analyze why you didn't succeed." - Dean Karnazes www.sbgillinois.com
What a great historic name! Think about the legacy of racing wins!
If a Springfield Armory advertising executive were standing in front of me right now, I'd pistol whip him up and down with a genuine American gun. An assembled in Portugal, made in Belgium, designed via combination of an American and Belgian - A damn Browning Hi-Power!
Okay, well at least the pistol whipping would be cathartic. It's been a bad couple of days on the professional front and therefore I'm a little bit chippy. And Springfield Armory seems like a perfect target to take it out on. I mean...stupid and deliberately underhanded ad copy makes it easier to unleash the hate.
^^^lel Don stop now U R on a roll Marin... make croat sissys cri.
And yet we have a six page thread about their ad copy and the upcoming product. Seems like the Springfield marketing department is doing their job... 😎
In the interest of full disclosure, I received the "Saint" email too and couldn't resist clicking around on Springfield's page to see what in the world might me behind the terrible ad copy. I got the impression that it either isn't a gun, or not just a gun.

Since Benjamin Henry got out of the gun-designing business after he got screwed over by Oliver Winchester (in Henry's view), that some Italian dude apparently bought the rights to his name nearly a century after Henry died seems a little less smarmy.
But just a little bit less.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.
