If you get the stamp in your paws by the Fourth of July, 2017; I will be pleasantly surprised.
I have a bunch of cans waiting approval right now, and I'm planning on about 10 months.
They haven't even cashed my checks I sent in before the July rule changes.
Grab some popcorn and get ready for a long wait.

This should give you an idea: http://www.silencershop.com/atf-wait-times
Remember that there was a substantial increase in applications approaching last summer, so that wait time is probably not linear.
Sending in the Form 4 for a can next week and my dealer said he's getting stamps back from January right now. He said they're buried right now and 41P/41F didn't help.
I sent my form in at the end of January and received my approval at the beginning of September.
I stopped by my LGS where I bought a new suppressor on April 19th....just to visit, and on the off chance my stamp was in.
The woman who handles all the filing and paperwork, one of the owners, said they hadn't seen a new stamp since November, and the last one they had had an origination date of March 2016.
Maybe they quit working in the Fall expecting Hillary to win, so they could scrap the whole program....tongue in check LOL.
Seriously, is it that bad in other areas??

According to ATF a month or two ago average wait time is 8.5 months IIRC.
