Glock Reliability

What would you move to if you were to move away from Glocks due to ethical reasons?

I think, and I say this primarily based upon what I've been reading on P-F, that HK seems intriguing. If I were to ever explore that avenue, I'd probably be looking at something roughly sized like a G19 or between a G19 and 26 and most likely with the LEM trigger.

However, before that should come to pass I'm sure I can find something about both HK that will leave me shocked and dismayed...and about the LEM that would make me fear to carry it AIWB or which would result in my getting myself kilt in the streetz.

Fair enough. Not knowing much about HK's politics and stance other than "I suck and HK hates me" they're pistols seem rather robust and some are sized just about right (USPc/P2000). Dem high priced magazines tho...

Then again I might be tempted by the PX4c too. I think Beretta's only real heretical sins are slide mounted safeties, not making the perfect 92 since the early 2000s like they should have all along, the 90-two, and the 96. Apart from that, they seem ok...

I grew up on Glocks and they were my primary go-to handguns for a number of years. After having issues with a number of Gen 4 9mms (primarily BTF), I have since embraced other pistol designs, primarily DA/SA guns, and now own several Beretta and HK offerings. I'm not going to sell any of my Glocks, but for social and gaming purposes there will be either a Beretta or HK in my holster from now on. Currently carrying a P2K but will pick up a Langdon PX4 or two when they're available.

I handled a USPc the other day. I've shot several of LSP972's HKs.......never warmed up to the LEM and the HK DA triggers I've pulled are atrocious compared to a SIG. But I'm willing to play with a light LEM a bit....

I've packed a P30 as a primary quite happily for years.

I may transition away from them soon, but for entirely sentimental reasons. The guns have been excellent...but Todd actually helped me get these guns and so they've taken on a lot more sentimental value than I ever thought possible.

If you haven't looked at the torture tests on the P30 Todd did on Pistol-Training.com, you should. I did a bit (something around 1,200 rounds or so) of the firing for that test and liked the guns so much that I ended up grabbing a couple myself. The LEM takes some getting used to, but once you're used to it you can get some excellent performance from it.
