Looking for pet 260 Remington hunting loads

Just purchased a 260 Remington rifle for hunting. Looking for pet hunting loads. Rifle is bolt action with 22 inch barrel. Some bullets I have on hand are: 120 and 127 Barnes bullets;130 and 140 Berger hunting bullets; 129 and 142 Nosler Accubonds; 140 Partitions; and 123 Nosler Custom Competition for practice. But, any data appreciated. I know that H4350 seems to be THE powder but I have not been able to find any H4350. Have lots of other powders though. Converting 243 and 7-08 brass as 260 brass relatively rare also.

Try Reloder 17 and 4831SC if you can't find H4350. I shoot Reloder 17 in my 6x47L and 6.5x47 and it shoots well. My understanding is that H4350 is less temperature sensitive but I have not seen a big issue.

Alliant has also released Reloder 16 which is supposed to be similar to H4350, and have the temperature issue figured out, but I have no experience with it.

Lots of loads listed here for the 260

Looking to hunt Mule deer in Wyoming in a few weeks. Deer and antelope type loads. Thanks for R16 - that is news to me.

YEs, I went through the Snipers Hide 260 loads - many H4350 loads, a few for R17 and IMR4350.

Can't help you with pet loads, as I don't have a .260, but it's one of the few rifle cartridges I would consider owning besides my .308. If I could see farther than 75 yards where I live and hunt, I'd for sure have one.

Alliant has load data out for .260 with RE16..
