    Need pistol recommendation

    Hello,
Im looking to buy my first pistol.
I want a small gun(and no, not a tiny one. A pistol that can kill)
No need of any special upgrades. And not too expensive.
    Any good models guys?
    Thanks!

    Welcome to Pistol-Forum!

Without any intention to be mean or pushy, this post is sorta like posting on a car forum "I need a car." It's way too vague for us to be helpful.

What is the gun going to be used for?
    Will you carry it?
What's your body type? Do you need to conceal it?
    Have you shot before?
    What training have you had?
Have you held or tried anything?

Also, as a very important ethical, legal, and practical note, a BB gun or .22 can kill. The goal is not to kill. The goal is to stop a threat.

Give us a little guidance and we can hopefully give you some, too.

Very good advice from LockBreech. We need more information about you and your situation to come up with the right gun recommendations.

Warm welcome to the forum from Tampa.

There are a lot of very helpful, knowledgeable folks here, and some great things to think about in the above posts.

I would only add to that list:

What is your hand size (S, M, L, or XL)? Male or female? (Anthropometrics will help determine what a 'small gun' is objectively.)

What is your budget? (it may surprise you that the gun is only a part of the overall investment in a firearm, compared to: a good training class, a proper holster, decent gun belt, training ammunition, eye protection, ear protection, and lastly proper, secure and safe storage.)

    Again, welcome!

    Ok thanks for your comment!
Its going to be used for self defensr, not anything special.
Yes, i will carry it every day.
I dont need to conceal it, but i dont want to carry a big pistol.
Yes, i shot before many times. Most of the time with m16 and similar guns.
I held the cz duty before, i want something a little bit smaller.

I did a survey recently on the forum asking for concealed carry pistol weight vs. round count. Here is the chart based on the data. The most common seem to be 15 rounds with 11 pistols, mostly Glock 19:

Perhaps you can get some ideas for what might work for you based on this info.

I would agree that the G19 is probably the safest bet as a baseline, Jack of all trades pistol.

One of these.. Everyone will say Glock 19, but I personally don't think it's a good first pistol to start carrying. Appendix works, but not for new shooters and a 19 can be a challenge strong side.

    Double stack:
