trigger group seemed to me largely MIM made (even the striker), trigger pull has a short pretravel with and odd shaped trigger safety (it has some odd holes, I really don't know why)then you hit a wall, and there is the letoff, the break is inconsistent, not crisp at all, with not much overtravel, trigger breaks very rearward, almost touches the frame, it's a plus for small hands but folks with bigger hands will struggle curving the trigger finger (or they will use the larger backstrap, but it changes dramatically the grip). During the official presentation at the hit show, there was much interest in the apx, but more than one visitator raised one eyebrow..it felt "cheap" like cheaply made, the sig booth was near, fit and finish is on another planet. finish on the apx is VERY easily scratched.

Look at all the production stampings on that Glock slide, barrel, and frame, cool stuff, I love Euro builds. Sorry I got distracted...

I wish I had a vid from my mag dump when I was in Italy - the gun seemed to shoot alright. Like an untuned duty pistol. I'm sure fiddling with springs/etc could flatten it out a bit.

I found the triggers workable - the feel reminded me of the "Hyve"-type triggers people are putting into Glocks these days: Little bit of slack, then consistent takeup and a crisp break, no stacking. Predictable.

I'll bet they had the best on display, but it was utilitarian, if a bit uninspiring. It put shots on the target accurately and worked for the 50 rounds I drummed through it in an uncritical ho-hum manner... It certainly wasn't a "Remington P9" or whatever that bowl-of-festering-fail is called...

Beretta: If you'd like me to run it for T&E, have a bunch of pipe-hitters run a train on it, and otherwise debauch it, I'd be glad to do so: I can supply the ammo and range necessary to make it weep while it answers the question, "Show me on this MecGar where the Pepperoni and the evil USPSA shooters touched you..."

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In disclosure: I do NOT work for Beretta. Or Wilson Combat. I'm not part of a shooting team - though if you'd like me to shoot for you, PM me!
I do this for "fun", if you can call the soul-crushing junk-punch that is getting beaten by Eduardo De Cobos at the Florida Open "fun".
I'm sure time and the market will tell if the APX is a dog, a winner, or just another mid-pack contender that is trying to keep pace/dethrone the popularity of the Glock pistol.

The recoil spring looks very USP-ish. Interesting. Les did you shoot the 9x19 or the 9x21?
    Shoot more, post less...

Wardog68 Do you still have access to an APX or was this temporary? If so I would love to know what the slide weighs and the width. I also would like to see a measurement of the backstrap to trigger face or overall circumference of the frame and trigger face maybe with a string if possible. I know those are big asks but as a small handed shooter I am always looking for something like a Glock but with smaller grip/trigger reach circumference. Regardless,Thanks for sharing.

I'm having to inject a little fanboy meth to stay excited, tbh. Sig, Glock, HK, and Walther have created an incredibly hardcore gauntlet of 9mm strikers to run.
