I don't know, but confess to going through Numrich's S&W parts fiche looking for 3" barrels awhile back -- didn't find any in stock in blued or stainless. Had actually typed up a thread in the revolver section a couple hours ago asking about details on cutting down barrels (crowns, sights, finishes), but ended up cancelling it before posting figuring I needed to search some in case it'd come up before.

The 65LS and 3913LS were both "best-in-class" products from Smith. The only way to get the feature set found on the 65LS was to go with various PC offerings, most of which had Mag-na-Ported barrels.

Word. I've looked for a reasonably priced 65LS for the longest time.

When I bought a 3913 some years ago, someone chuckled and asked me what I expected to do with a chick gun.

I thought about that guy when I read the story of the Alaskan outfitter who used a DAO version of that gun to take down a grizzly.

Older pictures, but you guys will get it. The stainless gun is one of the custom shop guns Tam was talking about. The blue is a Brazilian contract Model 10 that is basically a fixed sight Model 19. These were done for a couple overseas contracts.
