Hope they are okay and the culprit is caught quickly.

Ps: Arkansas is AR. Alaska is AK.

Not to turn this into an AR vs AK thread...

One the job LEO deaths, so far this year, from gunfire or assault:

Thomas Cottrell (Jan 17) Douglas Barney (Jan 17) Scott McGuire (Jan 24) Jason Gooding (Feb 5)

Derek Geer (Feb 8) Mark Logsdon (Feb 10) Patrick Moszer (Feb 11) Lee Tartt (Feb 20) Nate Carrigan

(Feb 24) Ashley Guindon (Feb 27) David Hofver (Mar 1) John Kotfila (Mar 12) Allen Jacobs (Mar 18)

Carl Koontz (Mar 20) Susan Farrell (Mar 26) Carlos Puente-Morales (Mar 26) Chad Dermyer (Mar 31)

Steven Smith (Apr 12) Brad Lancaster (May 9) David Glasser (May 19) Ronald Tarentino (May 22)

Verdell Smith (June 4) Natasha Hunter (June 12) Endy Ekpanya (Jun 22) David Elahi (Jul 3) Paul Clark

(Jul 4) Lorne Ahrens (Jul 7) Michael Smith (Jul 7) Patricioi Zamarripa (Jul 7) Brent Thompson (Jul 7)

Joseph Zangoro (Jul 11) Ronald Kienzle (Jul 11) Mari Johnson (Jul 16) Montrell Jackson (Jul 17)

Bradford Garafola (Jul 17) Mathew Gerald (Jul 17) Kristopher Moules (Jul 18) Robert Melton (Jul 19)

Thomas Hutchinson (Jul 25) Johathan DeGuzman (Jul 28) De'Greaun Frazier (Aug 9)

In the days following these deaths, their colleagues compartmentalized the loss and returned to their duties, making our neighborhoods safe.

What makes such men and women persist in rowing against the tide? And what would we do without them?

In the days following these deaths, their colleagues compartmentalized their losses and returned to their duties. But these things are cumulative, and this won't end well.
David Michel Jr was shot and killed on 6/22/16. He is not on your list.

Natasha Hunter 6/12/16 was killed in a car crash, not shot or assaulted.

Know both of those two individuals and Brent Thompson, this year has so far been the worst ever for me in this profession.

I brain bad sometimes....and nicely played.

Looks like one officer is in critical condition, the other has been released, and suspect in custody with no further injuries.

The critical officer was taken off life support today and is not expected to survive.

The critical officer just passed away. They were going to serve a warrant after the perpetrator missed his court date. I heard he just simply opened fire as they approached his house.

    RIP Deputy Bill Cooper.

    http://www.4029tv.com/news/sheriff-t...ounty/41133286

Deputy Cooper had served with the county since 2001, according to Sheriff Bill Hollenbeck. He was a Marine Corps veteran and was 65 years old.
In addition, a K9 dog with the Greenwood Police Department was shot, said Sheriff Hollenbeck. Law enforcement is actively searching for that dog.
I hope they find the injured K-9.
