"Beautiful, kind girl" Bites off Police Officer's Ear After Bar Brawl

Suspect accused of biting police officer's ear off after bar brawl

A Massachusetts woman is accused of biting part of a police officer’s ear off early Sunday morning during an arrest

The Essex County District attorney told FOX25's Malini Basu that it all began when 19-year-old Emma Wiley became involved in a disturbance outside the Tavern in the Square restaurant in Salem.

Police believe she used a fake Rhode Island ID to get into the bar, where she then got in a fight with another woman.

Salem Patrolwoman Jessica Rondinelli was placing Wiley in a cruiser when the alleged biting happened.

Doctors were unable to reattach Rondinelli’s ear and say she will need reconstructive surgery.

Wiley is charged with mayhem, assault and battery causing serious bodily injury, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, threatening to commit a crime, disorderly conduct, and having false identification. She has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
Wiley "made numerous spontaneous threats about how she was going to have every one of us cops killed."
Neighbors told FOX25 that Wiley is a kind and giving teenager.

"Neighbors also known as random idiots that don't know anyone outside of their home, but think they do."

Ear for an ear, out comes Mr. Knifey.

It's always this, or "quiet person who kept to themselves".

Interviews where the suspect is described as a "worthless little s#!+" are sadly uncommon.

Because people don't know their neighbors, yet claim they do. They know them as far as any other person walking by them taking a glance in a grocery store, AKA not at all whatsoever.

    Too often true. Not always.

Folks underestimate the benefits of a good neighbor, and having a nosy neighbor who works from home is maybe the single best home security asset outside of locking one's doors.

I had a beautiful, kind girl try very hard to bite my thumb off while responding to a fight in the street call on Christmas Eve, 1977......

That was an important lesson for a young cop about not using enough force initially and never to underestimate what a 5' 120 lbs soaking wet mad woman was capable of

During one of my recent use of force incidents I pulled a muscle in my right forearm that nagged at me for two months. My opponent was a drunk, barely five foot, hundred pound woman involved in a DV call. I had to pick her up and pile drive her on the front porch of her house to get the cuffs on her spider monkey ass. We were seventy miles from the county jail and it was a VERY long drive.
