A few what is legal equipment questions.

So I have some specific questions relating to parts on my gun that I can't find a definitive answer to in the rules guide. It may be reading comprehension on my part. We will be assuming this will be in the carry optics class. It sounds like I will have to remove my Ghost/Spaulding bullets forward slide stop. Being a lefty this really helps, but as I understand it, the slide stop has to be a factory part. Correct? How about the Grip Force Adapter? My carry optics gun is a Gen3 with a GFA on it. Not sure if this is legal or not. Danged if there wasn't another question that escapes me right now. Thanks for the help.

eta Apparently you can't edit the headline. Legal not leagal.

For pity's sake, equipment, not equiptment.

Essentially CO follows production rules with a couple exceptions. The modifications you describe would be illegal as I understand it. Here's a good thread:

You can also stipple your Glock. There's a chart in the rules.

Thanks Luke. My time has expired now, but I will keep that in mind.

So my brother wants to start shooting matches, and wants to shoot his M&P in production. It has the Apex trigger in it. Is that legal?

Not as I understand Appendix D4 section 21.6 in the rule book. Apex would not be an OFM part, so, no.

thanks R_J. The internal parts are OK to change, but it's the trigger shoe that's "external", I'm guessing?

That’s how I read it, but I’m no RSO.

Your reading is correct. And we don't have RSOs.
