I’m enjoying some Barrio Brewing Barrio Blonde Ale. It’s a lighter beer with an ABV of 5%.

I was a huge fan of craft beer until I found out it was wrecking my guts. Since being diagnosed with celiac disease, I've missed the taste of a good pint of hefeweizen on a scorching summer day, or a pint of stout on a cold (well, cold for central AZ) winter's night. All of the gluten free 'beers' I'd found weren't worthy of the name. Some tasted good, but none tasted like what I remembered beer tasting like.

So after almost a decade, I was happily surprised when my favorite little restaurant started carrying some gluten-free beers from an outfit in Colorado called "Holidaily Brewing". Their stout tastes like a proper stout. Their buckwheat witbier tastes like a proper wheat beer. I'm eagerly awaiting their pumpkin porter.

@LHS, ah crap. Celiac is such a hassle. It’s nice that there are so many gluten free options these days.

It's kind of a mixed blessing. On the one hand, there're a lot of options even compared to 10 years ago. On the other hand, it seems like almost every restaurant has 'gluten-free options' that don't take into account cross-contamination or take things even remotely seriously. I've found very few places where I can eat and be pretty sure I won't end up wrecked for a week and a half afterwards.

Mrs CF got this because she liked the can. It’s like Coors with Yuzu.
