That sounds amazing. I'm a sucker for a great bourbon barrel beer.

    Something different for me

Yoerg's Pilsner, brewed to original 1849 Bavarian recipe in small batches at their pub in Dayton's Bluff, St Paul, MN.

It was pretty delicious. 5.6% ABV, and hoppier than you'd think for an 1800s-era German beer. It wasn't just the Brits thinking of preservation.

Opened another of our members-only stash from Little Beast. This one was fermented with Black Cap Raspberries. Very yeasty, bitter, leathery.

Early and delicious dinner (amazing variety of all new-to-her recipes) with #1 daughter & her family. Son-in-law handed me an Indeed Brewing Let It Ride IPA. I was surprised that I had not yet had this one- they too are local.
    6.8% ABV, unfiltered, 90 IBUs(!)
    Quite filling body, though.

It went very well with the fresh herbal variety of the fare. Parsley, Rosemary, Thyme, Tarragon, and Basil were featured in the various dishes.

I got burned out on IPA this past week after having what I consider a terrible IPA in Breckinridge Brewing's "Hop Peak IPA". I rate it as virtually undrinkable.

So, since I haven't had a Fat Tire in several years, I decided to pick up a 12 with a nod to Harry Bosch. It's never been my favorite but I couldn't find a red or amber ale in cans that I hadn't had recently.

So, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. (Survived the grocery store. Things were much better than two weeks ago in terms of availability of items.)

Ommegang Gnomegeddon... this one is a thumbs down. Too malty for my taste. I’m just not into strong ale with banana peel and bubble gum esters.

Oh yeah, and it was super carbonated so the cork shot out, bounced off the ceiling, almost hit Mrs. CF and made her squeal. Fuck that gnome.
