Given the lame redesign they did to the traditional Anchor labels, I'd expect more disappointing developments from Sapporo rather than grand plans.

It's nice to know there are plenty of other choices out there.

I don't claim to be a beer connoisseur. Nor do I call a movie a "film". But my favorite beer thats readily available is COOP F5 IPA. Discovered it back stage at an Oklahoma City Foo Fighters concert. Apparently they asked for some locally brewed beers.

My absolute favorite beer is Survival Stout from Hops Urban Brewery in Portland OR. I can only get it when I fly to my guitar builders shop there. I try stouts everywhere and nothing has really come close.

I texted my son about the Survival Stout. He hasn’t drank it but he says their Prickly Pear Sour is really good.

There is a small but growing craft beer industry here and this year I found one of there best breweries take on an APA.

BurrKaaa is slang for someone with a mustache. It is more “fruity” than most APAs I’ve tried but quite good. Pairs quite well with Burek, Mellon, and mountain air.

Modelo overtakes Bud Light. Old news but new figures. https://www.wsj.com/articles/bud-lig...d=hp_lead_pos3

Modelo Nigra was a favorite after a match with tacos or seafood enchilidas in SATX.

I’ve been delinquent with this thread. I can assure that it’s not from lack of drinking weird beer. To wit: “Cactus Attractus prickly pear sour” (A *lot* tastier than one might surmise…)

I had a can of The Wilderness Prickly Pear Sour the other night. No pics though. It had an unusual aftertaste that I’m wondering was the prickly pear.
