Fall is in the air, and Octoberfests on the shelves. Well, actually here it's just a little less hot, fall temps are a good ways off. Anyhow, local Costco finally had something besides ipas and wheat beers.
Paulaner is a favorite of mine.

It has been a few years since I have had one, so it was time for a revisit.

    Lupulin Brewing, Big Lake MN
    Hooey unfiltered IPA

    60 IBUs, 6.2% ABV

It is as good as I remembered, though a touch sweeter than I currently favor. Mouthfeel is medium heavy, and the hop oils and yeast left in give it an orange peel bite. If juicy IPAs (as opposed to the resiny piney variety) are your jam, this one is worth the effort. Shown with tonights companion, a roast beast sandwich with Vermont white cheddar and sharp dijon mustard & arugula on italian/french bread.
