    Awesome label. Gross beer.

I have never been a fruity beer kind of guy, but Clusterfacks posts have gotten me interested in trying some. This blueberry beer was pretty good.

The Coffee Guinness was really, really good.

Actually, the Coffee Guinness sounds better to me. I know I've posted about fruited sours, but I usually prefer beer that's sour without having to use fruit. For example, one of my all-time favorites:

I split one with my wife. I believe I can see the point, sir.

We love Cascade. It's the best brewery in Portland, with Little Beast in a close 2nd place. I haven't had a chance to try that one. So cool they are putting good stuff in cans.

Finally made it to Real Ales tap room. I've wanted to go but they used to only give tours on Fridays. Not sure when it opened but they have a tap room now

A new one - River baptism bock on the left and the real heavy Scottish ale on the right. The bock was good but the Scotts ale was our favorite. Also had barrel aged versions of the 25th anniversary golden stout and the wake up call coffee porter. The golden stout didn't benefit from barrel aging, the porter I don't remember. In my defense my wife took that one and I only got one sip.

Went to pick up some Alstadt Oktoberfest and Save the world pumpkin ale but total wine was out. Seems they moved on from fall beers and on to the winter beers. Oh well, I'm one to go with the flow....
Stouts are one of my favorite styles.

Ok, it's an imperial porter, not a stout. Barrel aged and brewed with maple syrup, chocolate, vanilla beans there's a lot going on. Very good.

Imperial stout brewed with coffee. 12% abv but didn't taste too strong. Good stuff as well, but my usual complaint - 16oz and >10% abv is more than I need.

I'm a fan of Boulevard Brewings Belgian ales. Picked this up to try. Good, defined barrel aged taste, 11.8% and tastes it.

Ten Fidy, one of my all time favorites. A little sweet, but oh so good.

I went to Kings last night and picked up a can of the Alesmith Speedway Stout. They brew good beer. I haven’t tried it yet.

Sometimes, tried and true is the thing.

(Not my pic, all rights to original photographer)

Bent Paddle Golden IPA, from Bent Paddle Brewery, Duluth, MN 6.2 % ABV

It's a piney, resinous IPA that is still *very* well balanced and has a mouthfeel that makes it seem a little less potent than it actually is.
