I find the clipped profile of the WC rear sight a bit distracting... The Novak sights seem to draw your eye up to the horizontal plane.
I like the square notch a lot. I find the "U" a bit distracting since I see almost too much.
That said, I shoot ok with all of these combos. I prefer what I see most often: Novak and Dawson.
What height dawson front with which height novak is working best for you?
After seeing the sight picture, I really need to get the Dawson/Novak combo. Which two parts did you specifically get?

Thanks for posting these pics, I much prefer the square notch. The WC rear is better than the stock rear sight but really prefer the square notch, and these pic affirmed why.

Novak Rear and a stock sight:
The lowest they make is a .278" if I'm right.
I like the lower .268" of the WC. (same drive the dot picture...)
Novak and Dawson FO:
I'm using a .290" - I've been driving the dot lately. (Better picture for 25 and 50 yard shooting), part # dcrb01.290
The Dawson is a .140T .110W Elite dovetail, part #021-005

If you don't like the way Vertecs and Elites are set up to "drive the dots", Ernest Langdon figured out how various Novak rear sights will move the POI up or down.
Standard slide 92/96
The Standard Height rear sight is .267" high.
Novak .278" high will raise POI Approx. 1.5" @ 25 yards
Novak .290" high will raise POI Approx. 3.2" @ 25 yards
Novak .305" high will raise POI Approx. 5.3" @ 25 yards
Brigadier Slide 92/96 (including Elites)
The Standard Height rear sight is .290" high.
Novak .278" high will lower POI Approx. 1.6" @ 25 yards
Novak .290" high should not change POI (use this sight if you don't need a POI Change)
Novak .305" high will raise POI Approx. 2.1" @ 25 yards
Novak .320' high will raise POI Approx 4.2" @ 25 yards
Your very first picture is really not too different from my stock M-9 with the rear sharpie'd out.
