What size punch is needed for the roll pin? and does the pin(s) need to be replaced once removed?

If I remember correctly, 3/8" nipple punch. The roll pins do not have to be replaced according to anything I've read.

I'm sure you're right...as 3/8" does sound way too big.

    HKparts.net

Does anyone know if the parts on HKparts.net are the standard or extra strength springs? The part numbers seem to be different.

If you put in the HK part number in to the search field, it should take you to the correct part, with their number. Sometimes, they list both part numbers on the product page.

Pardon the question, but why the V4 in stead of the V1? Wouldn't the 4.5 lb weight be better in a DAO?

I have a V1 and would also like to know the variance of V1 vs V4.

The reasoning (as told to me by ToddG) is that the V4 has a more forceful trigger reset. So, you have a bit more trigger pull weight, but faster reset for follow up shots.
