I lived in these boots when they released; they softened up quick. That kudu leather upper is particularly supple.

I discovered Allen Edmonds a few years back; the brand slowly took over my closet. I really like the Dainite rubber sole option for their dress shoes.

Days? Weeks? Month?

I didn't think they were that stiff to begin with. I never felt the need for any kind of insert. Definitely not a month; I'd say about a week.

I got the Spenco polysorb heavy duty insoles. Didn't see the vibrams. Got me curious. Check out the Allen Edmunds too. I hear they break in easier.

I'm not worried about a mean break-in as I used to buy rainbow sandals. Gotta earn that fit. I meant which of these:

I'm looking at the redwing moc toe roughneck or equivalent Chippewa but I need at least an 11 wide. Anybody with wide flat feet use them? Or should I just try Russell ? Before my feet went flat I loved the spenco polysorb in my jungle boots! Now I use the spenco ortho insoles

Oh, yes, sorry. Cork and it's really impressive. It seems super anhydrous and grippy given the lack of treads.
