IME, people that buy guns at Academy are generally the type that think a 700 USD AR is way too expensive.

And I've been an Academy customer my entire life, and I've never seen a DD rifle on the shelf at any Academy.

I have but only certain ones. I don't think DDs were big sellers there though. Priced at MSRP.

We have multiple Academy stores in my city and the gun, optics, and even ammo selection varies with the location and part of town. Nicer part of town - higher end guns. Near a military base - more "tactical" stuff etc.
