    We usually have a keycode in our preplans or dispatch can get ahold of the info....sometimes it is even up to date.

    I have a Knoxbox key. Best thing ever! Otherwise you hope dispatch has the gate code. I can get into some commercial lots and businesses if needed.

    We use knoxbox keys in my agency. Every gated community is required to have a knoxbox in the county, so it makes getting in very easy.

    We have used Opticom sensors, Knox keys, and Click-2-Enter. The Knox key is by far the most reliable. The Click-2-Enter fails constantly, so stay away from that option. Requiring the complex to supply a gate code will only work if there are substantial penalties for failure to keep you updated, and your agency is willing to apply those penalties.
