IIRC that SBR is .300 BO. What load do you load for brain panning?
FWIW that strikes me as eminently sensible for precision delivery fast.

It was windy and foggy this morning, and between that and being tired from flying Cubs the last few days, we decided to head out, land the helicopter on a ridge, and get some hill climbing in. We flew northwest, saw an interesting ridge, and started up. Here is what it looked like, as we gained some elevation.
The last part was steepest, and then we were rewarded with this.

Last summer, the bugs were miserable. So far this year, they have been a no-show. Sitting on the peak eating lunch, we shifted sides into the wind, and the few bugs were there vanished. Astro got pretty hot, on the hike down, running like crazy after parka squirrels and ptarmigan. She showed up at the helicopter, quite pleased with herself, and coated with smelly mud she found in a wallow somewhere.
We decided to land on a gravel bar, on a remote stream on the way home, and try for some Grayling. It was a gorgeous spot, and only a mile from where we shot a brown bear fourteen years ago. My wife fished, Astro assisted her, and I manned the shotgun.
Downstream, was an impassable canyon, that we had a great view of, on the flight back to the cabin.

Crappy weather the last few days, with rain and low clouds. We were able to sneak out late morning, under the clouds, and get to a place to hike.
It was only a few miles from where we recently ran into that bear, so heads on a swivel. No sightings.
As we were flying back to the cabin, we heard some chatter on the radio about an incident, and later learned a Cessna 206 crashed today, twenty miles up the lake, killing the pilot. No idea whether related to the low clouds or some sort of a mechanical.

For perspective, what was your high and low temperature for the day?
I'm heading back up to Alaska to drive my daughter home. I'll only be there one day before we start driving south. I'm looking forward to it.
