Question When does the polymer filling expire?

I'm guessing the polymer used to fill hollow point bullets is going to deteriorate over time, and lose its effectivity, or the reason why it was added.
    Anyone know how much time?

    Not sure, really
Not really answering your question but...

It matters not; if they last thirty years you should be good to go. It will still strike flesh at 1,000 fps and that's GOING TO HURT.

Why do they fail? Kinda answering your question.

Polymer crazes usually due to UV radiation.

Don't store your bullets in sunlight and you should be fine.

Interestingly, I just bought some first generation Speer G2 pulled bullets. Quite a few are sans polymer in the tip. Don't know if they were tumbled or otherwise processed after being pulled.

If they are silicone rubber, they will last "forever."
