Like everything else, The Mission Drives The Gear Train.
Define your mission, and acquire the best gear you can that will fit the mission requirements.
Then train with them.
And when you are finished, train some more.

"Stop over-thinking it beforehand, (Runcible). Just do it, then think about it afterwards," or words to that effect, circa 2011. I've gotten some miles out of that counsel.
Given how remembrance slightly recolors a bundle of memory each time, I am glad for my friends reminder from Doc's words at the service, that; "Life is good." It's a good note to end on.
"Survival is a byproduct of winning."
"Seeking out a bulls-eye shooter to teach you gun fighting would be similar to having an ACLU lawyer teach CQB. Marksmanship when applied to fighting is 1/3 of the combat triad. Marksmanship when applied to bulls-eye competition is the end state. There is shooting competition and there is fighting. One is fun, the other isn’t."

Does anybody have a source for The wonderful message T shirts Pat had at class.
In particular "LEARNING OCCURS ONLY AFTER REPETITIVE DEMORALIZING FAILURES." I would like several more if available.
