According to Google it's no the Pat Rogers you're thinking of, seems this one was a Boston officer.

Pat is gone. He was a tower of information to me, a mentor, a friend and someone whom I aspired to be like as a trainer. We will not see his like again, but he set an example that we should all strive for each and every day.
