I went to the range yesterday and realized I had 2 targets left. One pass shooting the Tanfo Stock 2 in Double Action only for all 10 shots. These were slow Double Action pulls, not match speed pulls - something I need to work on.

One more run freestyle, Single Action only:

Again, I kept it moving, very little fooling around between shots.

I really like this drill and may incorporate it into my normal warm-up.

It might (or might not) also be interesting to time this drill or do it on some type of par time just to improve the trigger control at speed aspect.

I remembered JHC talking about running the 300 and walking up to look at the impact after each shot. I did this for ten rounds freestyle, and thought it was very instructive; I was able to call the shots and identify the causes of what I didn't like, and had a good run going until the WHO string when I guess I got tired, impatient, or both. . Fs80-4x (really strange -- four round group on the x, two just breaking 10, two pulled low, one left, one high), Sh55, wh24

Pistol used: Glock 22 with 9mm conversion
    Score for each string: 2H – 95 with 2x; SH – 70 with 2x; WH – 42 with 0x
Total score for all strings combined: 207 with 4x
Anything you noticed: My weak hand shooting sucks. Probably reflects lack of dry fire recently. First time touching a pistol for any reason since April 17.

    What's that about buying skill?
Today I used a 17 with KKM barrel and I replaced it's HD sights with a Proctor set using the new .100 narrow square notch rear. Very tight light bars.

I also walked down to check each shot.

    Week 162: 300

    Gen 4 Glock with RMR
Two hand 82, one off paper:

Dominant right hand only 56, did not get photo.

Non dominant left hand only 87:

    TOTAL: 225

Interestingly, I almost always shoot best with my non dominant hand when shooting bullseye. I have no idea why?

    Walther PPQ

    Both hands: 88

    Right hand: 57

    Left hand: 80

    Score 225

    Notes:

Scored the same both guns which tells me I am just not a good enough shooter to take full advantage of the optic

Non dominant hand shoots single handed better

I shot the open sighted pistol quite a bit faster than the Optic equipped pistol. I didn't time it but it seemed twice as fast.

Put on new Dawson sights on the P320 so I tried them out at 25.
It looks like I need to adjust them a little, they hit a little to the right.

Things I noticed other than I suck this is really hard with hd's and I need a lot more practice. I really haven't shot my glocks at 25yds I've done it with my berettas a few times and had better results. Most of my misses went high which I tend to see at closer distances when shooting glocks not sure if it is the grip angle or anticipation. I'll be making a point to shoot at 25yrds more often.
