Yes! I knew I saw someone else try this before, but I couldn’t remember what thread.

It’s a shame this doesn’t seem more a commonplace practice. Searching “IWB Speedloader” ends up with an old RevolverGuy.com article about a never-produced product and basically nothing else. Carrying a decent speedloader in an concealable, accessible manner can be done comfortably.
Well, you may be a man. You may be a leprechaun. Only one thing’s for sure… you’re in the wrong basement.

I use the Ready Tactical carriers for concealed work. I have a Safariland split-6 that I use sometimes too.

For duty gear, I sent a comp-3 loader to a company years ago, and they made a double pouch with snap covers for me. I think they have since closed. I also have a Tex Shoemaker triple open top pouch.
I had an ER nurse in a class. I noticed she kept taking all head shots. Her response when asked why, "'I've seen too many people who have been shot in the chest putting up a fight in the ER." Point taken.

I need to grab one of thoughs to try. Ill use a jox occasionally but it sits weird and looks like an ostomy bag if im wearing a tshirt.

Typically i carry my speedloader in my front right pocket that is dedicated to that purpose with a speedstrip in my rear left pocket. Sometimes ill carry 2.

Back when a revolver was my EDC, I used a Safariland split six and that worked reasonably well for me compared to pocket carry of the speedloaders.

Interesting thread, and typical of the more thoughtful discussions often seen at p-f.

IME with revolver-plus-speedloader CCW, regardless of where on the belt one places a round speedloader carrier (including whether the loader holds the rounds vertically or horizontally), those that effectively span or sit astride the belt are more readily concealable than those which keep the entire loader anterior to the belt, the difference of course being that in the former case, the part which protrudes in front is just the radius of the loader, whereas it's the diameter with the latter.

Good "spanning" speedloader examples include the DeSantis Second Six and Matt DelFatti's SLC and SLC-2.

(The SLC-2 holds the cartridges above the belt and accordingly it doesn't matter how thick the belt may be, while the SLC & the DeSantis straddle the belt, with the cartridges sitting on either side front & back, and can be problematic with belts 1/4" wide or thicker, but are usually fine with the thinner belts typically employed for AIWB carry.)

When carrying a revolver AIWB, it's true that nestling the speedloader carrier just a short way fore of the holster can take concealment advantage of the local protuberance already provided by the front of the holster itself.
(And I'll be trying JRV's approach for assessment of comfort, placing a "non-spanning" speedloader carrier behind rather than in front of the belt.)

Majority of the time it's a Speed-Strip in my right thigh cargo pocket or right rear pocket (340PD pocket carry, Duluth pants).
When I carry a revolver AIWB I usually go with a Speed-Strip in that little pocket inside the right front pocket of my Duluth pants.
I've tried a speedloader in my front pocket, I'd rather just carry my 340PD instead as a "NY Reload".

I have no illusions that a Speed-Strip is any kind of viable mid-fight advantage.
I do want a topped off gun if I shoot a scrote in a 7-11 parking lot in front of his homies and then unass the area for a safer locale to wait on the cavalry.
I don't want to be sitting in my car two blocks away with an empty smoking revolver and nothing else.

This is how I roll with a speedloader:

Safariland CD-2 carrying a Comp-1 IWB. Positioned close enough to the holster to prevent a pressure point but far enough away that a thumb and finger can pop the holder out without any hassle. Surprisingly viable. It beats carrying a speedstrip alone or dealing with a lumpy pouch in a pocket.
Just started messing with this myself using a CD-2 and a Darkstar Gear Apollo on a J frame. Surprisingly effective and light. I still carry a 6 round speed strip loaded with 2 rounds at each end in my pocket ( 2 empty spaces in the middle so my fingers have a big working surface). Belt is a Mastermind Tactics specialist. I find this belt to be amazing at weight distribution while having a very low profile, although the buckle assembly is very tight on the tail and is a pain to undo.

I think the CD-2's are one of the best kept secrets in revolver land.
And +1 on the concealed comfort. When people write about speedloaders being like a "soup can" on the belt, I just shake my head. I've carried a 4" N-frame with minimum of 2 and max of 3 speedloaders for several years now in comfort.
    Anybody that wants to, can.

    But everybody is different.

My preferred “speed loader” these days is my S&W 342.
