I always really liked the NEOS... I don't have one, but that may have to change...

Another member PMed me asking my thoughts. It's a neat gun that doesn't really excel at anything. The trigger and sights aren't as good, nor is it as accurate as my Mark 2. It's not as easy to shoot and manipulate as the M&P 22. It's relatively heavy, the magazine release is in a weird spot and the grip angle is quite rakish. That being said, it has become one of my favorite guns to take to the range. Magazines are a lot less expensive than anything from S&W. It's a good steel gun and has the integrated rail if I wanted to go the red dot route.

Now I just need a carbine kit for it...

I don’t want to be held responsible for the design aesthetic... I was just asked by a friend to assemble everything post paint job. They were NIB M9s before they were “paint raped”.

Believe it or not, the owner had a very good reason to paint them up.

Good reason or not, you would think that, at a minimum, he'd have used some gold inlay. Because you don't really get the full "I'm a big shot in the Cartel" look without gold inlay. Admittedly, though, he came fairly close.

This design is an Irish thing, not a cartel thing for sure!
