    That is the L Type P, IIRC. I carried a Cougar L for a few years (shorter grip than the Type P). One of the best damn carry pistols I’ve owned. Traded to a friend who had to have it.

    I took a closer look. The rollmarks say Mod. 8000 Cougar F. It’s roughly the same size as a Centurion.

    The actual pistol is the most plain Jane, vanilla 92FS you could hope to find, but the box is pretty darn cool.

    I keep looking at those but I haven’t decided if I want to be a Beretta “collector” yet.

    At this point, it’s just a 92FS with a unique roll mark on the slide and a cool box to me. I bought it because the price was right and I’m thinking about building a 92D Centurion just because I want one. Otherwise it’s just an investment piece and a tertiary backup.

    I had one of these with the box for a short time when the 92 was my main pistol. I picked it up as a spare because it was in good shape and the price was right.
