I've never had any slide work done by anybody before. Having said that, I've heard nothing but the highest praise from others regarding ATEi and that's probably where I will eventually send off a pistol to have some slide work done.

I had Doug at ATEi install some sights for me years ago, cool dude.

He seems to be the go to/innovator in the slide milling.

ATEI did a great job with slide serrations and RMR installs on a couple of M&Ps a few years ago.

Emailed ATEi twice, not a single reply.

When companies don't respond to numerous emails I take that a very clear sign they do not need my business.

I'll be looking at other places.

This is a big problem in the industry today. Too many companies don't know how to manage (potential) customer relations, and end up missing out on business that they may or may not have been able to capitalize on anyway.

I'm currently getting some work done on a gen3 Glock 19 by Fire 4 Effect Weapon Systems, LLC.

I should be getting the gun back in the next several weeks, and I'll be happy to let you know what I think of their work.

That and the fact that no one wants to listen to customers, well that's not true, but the companies that do are the very few.

I'll check out their site. I have cash and am willing to spend it, but I need people to return my emails.

    What about Frank Proctor's modifications?

    Here's a video explaining his reasoning: http://www.wayofthegun.us/blog/frank...-modification/

P.S.: I have experience with this product. I just came across it a couple of days ago and thought to pass it on

I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on FP's slide modifications, specifically the serrations at the top edges between the ejection port and front sight. I've added some grip tape to try his slide manipulation before committing to having the slide machined. I like it, there's good sense in how it reduces the amount of movement but I'm an inexperienced shooter and would welcome a more experienced point of view.

Not a bad concept, though having the WOTG on the side of the gun instead of serrations is not something I want on my gun.
